Water Polo raise funds and make donation to Claire House Hospice

Members of City of Chester Water Polo Club together with parents spent a day in March bag packing at Morrisons. Both girls and boys, 18 in total with some parents to help, spent a long hard day packing bags for customers.

They were collecting for new equipment, such as Mini Goals, hats and balls.

This was a very successful venture, as they were able to collect enough money for the equipment they needed, but most important wanted to donate some of the money to charity as well.

£230 was donated to Claire House Children's Hospice.

To some of the players, this was a very important and worthwhile donation, as they had grown up with a boy at school that at a very young age was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Unfortunately in his teens, he had to go to Claire House and sadly died, not too long ago.
The club are hoping it will make a difference and help in some way.
